The Jacket of the Future, Today!!!

This years topic is Adaptation. This term we have been adapting farm clothing. We decided to design a jacket. It is different to the usual farm jacket because of the added features, for warmth, protection and style. Here is our picture of our design.

The jacket has fluro strips on the side, a lot of pockets (with zips), a hood which has lot of fur on the inside. The fur is removable when needed.

Blue Band gumboots

Our task was to adapt a type of farm wear. We adapted farm gumboots. We thought of adapting gumboots. We renamed them Blue Band Gumboots. We added sheep wool on the inside, to keep the inside warm. We also added a drawstring up the top to pull for rainy weather. The sole is thick, and lightweight. The main area is black rubber. And the sole and band are blue rubber. We enjoyed this task, and next time we would improve on the way we concentrated. We would focus a lot more. By Kate and Clark.
