Tomorrow the year 7 and 8s are going to Timaru for a spelling bee. They have been practising for the last month. They are going to compete with all the schools in Mid Canterbury and South Canterbury. It starts at 6:30pm and goes till 8:00pm so they won't be home till about 9.30.
Dorie school wishes them all the best for tomorrow and hope you get a placing.

I am impressed at how well you went. From the sounds of things there were some really tough questions.
ReplyDeleteThe spelling bee was very fun and very hard. But mostly we all liked it and we got to stop at McDonalds which was pretty sweet.
ReplyDeleteSome questions were really hard and some were just medium but I found the Mystery Word the hardest. We were given one clue and if you knew the word you can go up and submit your answer. If you get it wrong, you get 0 points but if you get it right, you get 5. We will be given clues for five more rounds and each round the amount of points you get will go down, down, down. I really enjoyed the spelling bee though!
